There are many fine walks in the Strathaird peninsula, including one of the three main access routes into the Cuillins, namely the track from Kilmarie to Camasunary Bay. The track was built by the army in 1968 to allow better emergency access to the south-east of the Cuillin. The path eventually leads to Elgol.
